Valleys, parapet gutters and awkward terrace junctions
Rear returns make short valleys, stone parapets sit at the gables, and later outriggers are cut into the main slope. Valleys are the commonest persistent leak: original lead has been patched several times and each patch traps water rather than shedding it. We take it back to the boards, replace anything soft and reline in code 5 lead with welted edges. Parapet gutters behind stone copings are shallow with small outlets. Cleared, relined and given a decent outlet they behave for years.
